Flair Airlines (F8, Kelowna) is looking to expand its market reach into the Canada-United States market ts application to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for an amended foreign air carrier permit has revealed.

Formerly an ACMI/charter operator exclusively, Flair Airlines acquired virtual budget carrier NewLeaf (Winnipeg International) earlier this year effectively turning it into a scheduled passenger airline.

As such, Flair Airlines' DOT application requests authorization to conduct scheduled flights ferrying persons, cargo, and mail, property and mail from points behind Canada, via Canada and intermediate points, to a point or points in the United States and beyond.

It currently offers scheduled passenger services connecting the Canadian towns of Abbotsford, Edmonton International, Halifax, Hamilton, ON, and Winnipeg International through the use of B737-400 equipment.
