GoAir (Mumbai International) has announced that it will start its international operations in October 2017, reports the Press Trust of India. In May, the Indian carrier was forced to postpone its international debut over delays in the delivery of its A320neos.

"We have plans to start overseas operations from October this year," Managing Director Jeh Wadia said.

GoAir has so far taken delivery of five A320neos out of a firm order of 144 of the type. Deliveries have been delayed due to known problems with the neo's Pratt & Whitney PW1100G powerplants.

For its initial international routes, GoAir will look to neighbouring countries in the Asian region. It currently serves twenty-three destinations throughout India using its fleet of nineteen A320-200s and five A320-200neos.
