Air Serbia (JU, Belgrade) has denied media reports that it plans to cut 100 staff, saying that its staff numbers vary due to the seasonality of the airline industry.
"Any decision to possibly reduce the number of staff, which is made by the Supervisory Board and executive management team, has not been taken at this point, and any media reports on the topic are based on speculation," an Air Serbia spokesperson said in an e-mailed statement.
This week, Serbian news site Politika reported that the airline was preparing for more staff cuts, following a round of thirty dismissals in early August.
