Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) would consider disposing of its Arctic Aviation Assets leasing unit should it need to raise liquidity.

According to Bloomberg, Norwegian Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Tore Ostby told reporters last week that while potential buyers have expressed interest, the Scandinavian LCC would be unlikely to undertake any deal until AAA has taken delivery of its complement of A320/321neo aircraft. This, he said, is unlikely to occur before 2019 or 2020.

Incorporated in Ireland in August 2013, Arctic Aviation Assets Ltd administers Norwegian's aircraft assets, which includes purchase rights and firm orders for over 500 aircraft sourced from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and Boeing (BOE, Washington National).
