United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) has confirmed it will end scheduled B747-400 operations on Sunday, October 29 with its last service set as UA892 Seoul Incheon-San Francisco.

The carrier said in a statement the service would then be followed by a one-off farewell flight on Tuesday, November 7 - UA747 San Francisco-Honolulu.

Aside from scheduled passenger flights, United also uses its remaining fleet of thirteen B747-400s to conduct military charters for and on behalf of the US military to select points across the United States as well as the Middle East and Europe.
