Jet Airways (JAI, Mumbai International) has signed lease agreements with DAE Capital for three B737-800s. According to the Dubai-based lessor, the aircraft will deliver this year and are intended to help the Indian carrier bridge capacity to their B737-8 order which is expected to begin delivering next year.

“The timely addition of these aircraft to our fleet will allow Jet Airways to capitalize on the growing air traffic demand, strengthening our domestic footprint," Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways said.

According to the ch-aviation aircraft database, Jet Airways operates a fleet of sixty-one B737-800s of which four are leased from DAE Capital. They are currently deployed on flights covering the Indian domestic market with international destinations in Singapore, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Thailand, Kuwait, and Oman.
