PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) is set terminate its flights to the United States given the heavy losses the routes have forced the carrier to incur. PIA currently runs a twice weekly B777-200(LR) service from Lahore International to New York (via Manchester International on the outbound flights). One of these two weekly services originates in Karachi International.

According to The Nation newspaper, PIA officials said last week that the carrier's New York JFK services had cost it PKR1.25 billion Pakistani rupees (USD11.9 million) annually. As such, the last flights to the US will operate on October 28. PIA's booking portal corroborates the report with no available flights beyond this date.

Following its withdrawal, PIA will continue to serve the US albeit as a codeshare with a partner carrier.

PIA will continue to serve Toronto Pearson non-stop four times weekly from Pakistan with one weekly service each from Islamabad International and Karachi International and two weekly services from Lahore International.
