Jet Airways (JAI, Mumbai International) has confirmed previous speculative reports linking the Indian full-service carrier to a new narrowbody order.

Prior to the 2017 Paris Airshow, Jet Airways was linked to talks with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) over a possible order for at least fifty B737 MAX 10 aircraft to add to an existing one for seventy-five B737 MAX.

As such, in a statement to Reuters, the carrier confirmed a decision on the addition of seventy-five more narrowbody aircraft "will be made over the coming few months". It did not specify whether the aircraft would be procured from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) or Boeing.

Jet Airways' narrowbody jet fleet is currently an all-Boeing affair with two B737-700s, sixty-two B737-800s, and six B737-900s currently in service. It is expecting its first B737-8 in June 2018.
