Bukovyna Airlines (BKV, Chernivtsi) has added a maiden B737-500 to its fleet ch-aviation research has revealed. UR-CQS (msn 28201) was officially added to the Ukrainian operator's AOC earlier this month where it joins three MD-82s (all wet-leased to IranAir (IR, Tehran Mehrabad)) and two MD-83s (wet-leased to ATA Airlines (Iran) (TBZ, Tabriz)).
Despite its extensive dealings with Iran, Bukovyna Airlines is not embargoed by Washington. In fact, it was removed from the US sanctions' list in January of last year.
