Lufthansa Italia (Milan Malpensa) will replace two of its A319-100s by A320-200s that it will exchange with parent Lufthansa (LH/Frankfurt Intl). It is expecting to receive its own operating license shortly. It will give up its Milan Malpensa-Rome Fiumicino route on February 15 and will replace it with new routes being launched later this spring: Milan Malpensa-Olbia: 2x weekly seasonal A319-100 service starting on March 28 Milan Malpensa-Palermo: daily A319-100 service starting on March 28 Milan Malpensa-Stockholm Arlanda: daily A319-100 service starting on March 28 Milan Malpensa-Warsaw: 2x daily A319-100 service starting on March 28 Lufthansa Italia has said that it would continue to be interesting in serving the Milan-Rome market but only if it can obtain slots to operate the route from Milan Linate. It is also expecting to increase its cooperation with sister carrier Air Dolomiti (EN/Verona) that could launch more feeder services from Milan Malpensa in addition to the routes to Perugia and Salerno it already operates.
