Air Burundi (Bujumbura) will take delivery of its first of two Yunshuji Y-7s in May and plans to serve both domestic and international destinations when it resumes operations. It had suspended operations in September 2009 after its single remaining aircraft at the time, a Beech 1900D, had reached its maximum flying hours before a major maintenance check that could not be financed. The new aircraft are financed by Chinese investors.
