Air North (4N, Whitehorse International) has added its first non-quick-change (QC) dedicated freighter in the form of an ATR42-300(F).

C-FVGY (msn 273) was registered in Canada on May 7, 2021, but remains in storage in Kelowna ahead of its induction into service.

The ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop was retired by ASL Airlines Ireland (ABR, Dublin International) on April 1, 2021, and subsequently ferried over to Canada on April 7 and 8, 2021.

It will join Air North's existing fleet of one ATR42-300 and two ATR42-300(QC)s, as well as one B737-400 and four B737-500s. The carrier is planning to renew its narrowbody fleet in the future. It occasionally deploys all of its aircraft, including the ones in passenger configurations, on all-cargo flights in northern Canada.
