Amerijet International (M6, Miami International) has added a new type to its fleet of dedicated freighters, having taken delivery of its first B757-200(PCF) on June 15, 2021.

N818NH (msn 29311) is a 20.8-year-old aircraft that was just recently converted to a freighter. It was operated in a passenger configuration by Iberia, RAK Airways, and Icelandair, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. The Icelandic carrier retired the aircraft in October 2020 and subsequently ferried it for conversion to Orlando Sanford on December 12, 2020. As a freighter, the aircraft was ferried to Amarillo Rick Husband International on June 3, 2021, and subsequently to Miami International on June 15, ahead of the planned entry into service in the coming days.

“The B757 adds capacity, fuel efficiency, and lower emissions to Amerijet’s cargo fleet. It will bring additional lift to better serve our existing customers and expand our services to new destinations,” Amerijet's Vice President (Special Projects) Richard Carpenter said in a statement.

Amerijet International said earlier this year that it would add six B757s to its fleet, as well as expand its existing fleet of B767 freighters. The ch-aviation fleets module shows that the airline operates five B767-200(BDSF)s, one B767-200(SF), and seven B767-300ER(BDSF)s. It also wet-leases two A321-200(P2F)s from United Kingdom's Titan Airways (ZT, London Stansted).
