Envoy Air (MQ, Dallas/Fort Worth) has taken delivery of its first E170, N761RW (msn 17000296), although the aircraft remains in maintenance at Roswell for the time being.

The 11.5-year-old Embraer regional jet, owned by Azorra Aviation and recently acquired by the lessor from its previous operator BA CityFlyer, was deregistered from the United Kingdom and re-registered in the US on June 24, 2021.

The US regional capacity provider is set to add at least six E170s to operate them on behalf of its parent American Airlines (AA, Dallas/Fort Worth). Although it initially planned to begin the type's operations this month, its current schedule indicates a launch on August 17, initially basing the regional jets out of Chicago O'Hare.

All the E170s operated under the American Eagle partnership, including Republic Airways' and Envoy Air's units, will be configured for up to 65 passengers to conform with the "small regional aircraft" scope clause in the carrier's pilot labour agreements.
