Georgian Airways (A9, Tbilisi) resumed B737-700 operations on July 1, 2021, following a two-year hiatus.

4L-GTI (msn 35086) began its commercial operations for Georgian Airways on the Tbilisi-Leipzig/Halle route and has since been deployed on various routes to Europe and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion, AirNav Radarbox ADS-B data shows. The aircraft was transferred from Georgian Airways' subsidiary Armenia Aircompany (Yerevan), which had operated it since 2019 as EK73786 until its last flight on June 25, 2021. It has a history of transfers between the two airlines as it flew for Georgian Airways between 2015 and 2017, and for Armenia Aircompany between 2016 and 2017, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. The 13.2-year-old aircraft is owned by Air Lease Corporation.

Georgian Airways used to operate up to three B737-700s between 2009 and 2019. Until the reinduction of 4L-GTI, its narrowbody fleet comprised a single B737-800. The airline also operates one CRJ200LR and one Challenger 850.

Following the transfer of the -700 back to Georgian Airways, Armenia Aircompany continues to operate one B737-500 and one recently added -800.

The group also includes Georgian Airways Cargo (Tbilisi), a virtual cargo carrier, which uses its parent's AOC to operate its B737-800(SF) until such time that it has completed its own AOC drive.
