Maroomba Airlines (Perth International) has taken delivery of its first DHC-8-Q300, the largest in its fleet.
OY-CJY (msn 592), an 18.9-year-old turboprop owned by Nordic Aviation Capital and formerly operated by Swiftair Cargo (Canada), was ferried after maintenance at Exeter via Genoa, Irakleion, Cairo International, Bahrain International, Muscat, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru International, Hambantota, Banda Aceh, Jakarta Halim and Port Hedland to Perth International over the course of September 8-13, 2021, AirNav RadarBox ADS-B data shows.
The aircraft will become VH-QQH once registered in Australia, which has not happened yet. The airline did not respond to ch-aviation's query about service entry dates and the overall number of Q300s that will join its fleet.
Maroomba Airlines currently operates three DHC-8-100s (two owned and one dry-leased from PNG Air) and two Beech 1900Ds on charter flights across Western Australia.
