Germany's Avanti Air adds first Dash 8-Q400
08.02.2022 - 06:56 UTCAvanti Air (ATV, Paderborn/Lippstadt) has taken delivery of its first DHC-8-Q400 as it kicks off its previously announced transition to the turboprop fleet.
At 14.3 years of age, D-AASH (msn 4187) was last operated by flybe. (2002) (BE, Exeter) through its collapse in March 2020, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. It is owned by Aergo Capital and was ferried to Saarbrücken for storage on July 1, 2020, still registered as G-PRPA. While it remains at the west German airport, its British registration was cancelled on January 28, 2022, following which it was added to the German register.
The German charter specialist is set to add at least two DHC-8-Q400s this year. Last year, Avanti Air sold both of its Fokker 100s after it chose to focus on De Havilland Aircraft of Canada turboprops going forward. Both Fokker Aircraft have been sold to Network Aviation (NWK, Perth Int'l) and the second of them - D-AOLG (msn 11452) - was ferried via Trabzon...
