Calm Air (MO, Thompson) took delivery of its first ATR72-500(F) - C-GREJ (msn 709) - on February 2, 2022.

The 17.7-year-old ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop was previously operated by Binter Canarias (NT, Gran Canaria) as a passenger carrier. And although it has since been converted into a freighter at Toulouse Francazal, it has yet to be delivered to Canada.

The aircraft will join Calm Air's freighter fleet comprising one ATR42-300(F), three ATR72-200(F)s, and one ATR72-200(QC). It also operates five ATR42-300s, two ATR72-200s, and one ATR72-500, the ch-aviation fleets module highlights.

Calm Air operates scheduled and charter services mainly out of Winnipeg International and Rankin Inlet. It is owned by Canada's Exchange Income Corporation (EIC), which also controls Perimeter Aviation, Keewatin Air, Kivalliq Air, and Custom Helicopters.
