Alaska Air Group has ordered eight more new-build E175s from Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf) with options for 13 more in an announcement made during the 2022 Farnborough Air Show.

The 76-seaters will deliver over the next four years starting in the second quarter of 2023 and will fly exclusively for Alaska Airlines (AS, Seattle Tacoma International) under a Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) with its Horizon Air (QX, Seattle Tacoma International) sister carrier. The jets will feature 12 seats in business class, 12 in premium, and 52 in economy.

Alaska Horizon, as the Horizon Air CPA partnership is branded, currently operates thirty ERJ 170-200LRs and thirty-two DHC-8-Q400s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows. The group had twelve more E175s on order from Embraer prior to the new announcement with deliveries scheduled for 2023.

The Alaska SkyWest service, which is operated by SkyWest Airlines (OO, Salt Lake City), operates another forty-two E175LRs. All of them are owned by SkyWest.
