Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) has announced that plans for a new Inner Mongolia joint venture carrier in cooperation with local government investor Inner Mongolia State Assets Operation have been approved. The new carrier that has not yet been officially named yet will operate domestic routes with B737-300s and/or B737-700s dry leased from Air China. A similar joint venture, Dalian Airlines (CCD, Dalian), has launched operations earlier this year. Air China also controls Shandong Airlines (SC, Jinan), Shenzhen Airlines (ZH, Shenzhen) and Tibet Airlines (TV, Lhasa).
