Emirates (EK, Dubai International) will wet-lease an A330-200F from Air Belgium (KF, Brussels Charleroi) to operate its new cargo-only service from Dubai World Central to Auckland International via Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta, AeroRoutes.com has reported.

Flights will operate 3x weekly starting on November 30, 2022, and will complement the airline's existing passenger services from Dubai International to Jakarta (2x daily) and Auckland (2x daily, including one non-stop service and one via Kuala Lumpur International).

Air Belgium's A330 freighter fleet comprises three -200(F)s dry-leased from CMA CGM and a single A330-200(P2F). Two -200(F)s are currently in storage (one at Nîmes Garons and one at Brussels National), while the third unit continues to operate on behalf of EAT Leipzig (QY, Leipzig/Halle) between Brussels and Cincinnati International. The converted freighter has yet to be inducted into service and is likely to fly on behalf of Air Belgium's minority owner Hongyuan Group.

Air Belgium did not respond to ch-aviation's query as to which A330 would operate for Emirates.

The Emirati carrier's in-house freighter fleet comprises eleven B777-200Fs.
