Fly540 Tanzania (Dar es Salaam) has suspended all of its remaining domestic scheduled operations in Tanzania as of October 13. It had operated a single CRJ100 5H-YAH (c/n 7011) and a Dash 8-100 wet-leased from its Kenyan sister carrier Fly540 (FFV, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta) on a domestic network including Kigoma, Kilimanjaro, Mtwara, Mwanza, Tabora and Zanzibar. While Fastjet (Dar es Salaam) is expected to launch low-cost carrier operations from Dar es Salaam in November, it is unclear why Fly540 Tanzania already suspended operations before Fastjet's launch as it was originally widely expected that the transition would be seemless. Fly540 still serves both Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar from Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta and Mombasa.
