Thai Regional Airlines (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has announced plans to lease four A320-200s to launch high frequency domestic operations from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on December 12. It plans to offer nine daily round-trips to Chiang Mai and eight daily round-trips to Phuket initially with plans to operate daily international services to Hong Kong International and Seoul Incheon early next year with a fifth A320-200. It had so far only operated a single Piper PA-31 predominantly on charter flights and is now using the aircraft for five weekly services from Suvarnabhumi to Hua Hin with plans to launch a daily service from Hua Hin to Koh Samui in November.
