Thai Regional Airlines (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) has announced the cancellation of its plans to launch domestic A320-200 services on the two largest markets from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai and Phuket as well as a third route to Khon Kaen. The carrier says that the acquisition of the aircraft would have taken longer than expected and has cancelled all of these services originally scheduled to start on December 12 until at least the end of March. It still continues to offer regional services to Hua Hin from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Koh Samui with a Piper PA-31.
