United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) retired its last B767-200, N68159 (msn 30438), from its fleet on May 28. The aircraft, however, will see a new lease on life when it commences operations with Russia's UTair (UT, Khanty-Mansiysk) with it now having been ferried from New York Newark to Goodyear in preparation for the transfer. United would have retired the type sooner had it not been for the recent grounding of its B787-8 fleet. The US carrier was the launch customer for the 767-200 on its début in 1982 and still continues to operate thirty five B767-300s and sixteen B767-400s.
