Flightlink Air Charters (YS, Dar es Salaam) will début its first, and Tanzania's first, E120 operations effective July 1. According to the airline, the aircraft will be deployed on its daily Dar es Salaam - Zanzibar - Arusha roundtrip. The Embraer 120's arrival now means Flightlink will become the second largest operator out of Arusha in terms of passenger throughput, after Precision Air (PW, Dar es Salaam) who use ATR42s. Overall, Flightlink operates a fleet of ten aircraft including Cessna 208B Caravans, a Citation 560 and Cessna 206Bs.

Niger bans French carriers, aircraft from its airspace
27.09.2023 - 18:43 UTCThe ruling military junta in Niger (Conseil national pour la sauvegarde de la patrie - CNSP) has banned all French airlines and France-registered aircraft from operating in its airspace as a dispute with its former coloniser escalates. France has since pulled its ambassador from the Sahel state.
NOTAM A1096/23, issued on September 23, 2023, bans "French aircraft or aircraft chartered by France, including those of the airline of Air France (AF, Paris CDG)" from entering Nigerien airspace, including for overflights. All other commercial flights are permitted, while military and special flights need prior authorisation.
Air France suspended service to Niamey in early August, shortly after the coup d'êtat in Niger. It simultaneously halted flights to Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso and Bamako in Mali, two countries which support the Nigerien junta. All three routes remain on hold.

Tanzania's Flightlink Air Charters to add ATR72-500
25.02.2022 - 10:19 UTCFlightlink Air Charters (YS, Dar es Salaam) is in the process of adding its first ATR72-500, 5H-FLA (msn 703), Skyliner Aviation has reported.
The 19.1-year-old turboprop was spotted at Toulouse Francazal airport in the Tanzanian carrier's full livery on February 5, 2022. It has yet to be ferried to East Africa. The ATR - Avions de Transport Régional unit was operated by Mount Cook Airline/Air New Zealand from delivery until May 2021, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows.
Flightlink Air Charters did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment. While it did not publish a statement, it now displays an image of an ATR on its homepage.
The airline currently operates two E120s, one Cessna 560, one Beech 1900D, two Cessna (single turboprop) C208B Grand Caravans, and one Cessna (single piston) 206 on a mix of scheduled flights across northern Tanzania and charter operations.
Tanzania's Flightlink eyes international operations in early 2015
11.11.2014 - 15:48 UTCFlightlink Air Charters (YS, Dar es Salaam) is planning to venture into the international market with flights from Dar es Salaam to Mombasa in Kenya set for early next year. With the arrival of a second E120, airline CEO Captain Munawer Dhirani told Kenya's Standard that the flight, which will target bringing tourists from Kenya to Tanzania's Serengeti, will operate 3x weekly initially.
“We are already in touch with the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) for BASA rights before we roll out the Mombasa flights from our commercial operating hub of Dar Es Salaam," he said.
The carrier currently operates medevac operations as well as flights throughout Tanzania using a fleet of Cessna (single turboprop) Caravan 208Bs and an E120.
