Fil-Asian Airways (Zamboanga) reportedly launched operations on June 22 with flights between Manila Ninoy Aquino International and Tablas and Masbate. As successor to Mid-Sea Express (Cebu), Fil-Asian plans to roll out an island-hopping service including flights to Marinduque effective July 12, with Cebu to Cotabato and Tandag, and Cotabatu to Zamboanga due from August 12. Thereafter, Cebu to Panglao, Tagbilaran to Davao and Davao to Manado (Indonesia) are expected to launch from September 13. Service is conducted with a YS-11. Fil-Asian is the only scheduled operator of the type worldwide.
