Air Tanzania (TC, Dar es Salaam) will take delivery of a leased CRJ200 (some reports state a CRJ100) to help stem rising demand for flights. The state-backed carrier plans to introduce the aircraft next month on new flights to Bujumbura, Mwanza and Mbeya. At present, the airline's fleet consists of a single Dash 8-300 and a B737-200 on lease from South Africa's Star Air (South Africa) (BRH, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) used on a predominantly domestic network with Moroni International its sole international route.
