Evergreen International Airlines (Marana) has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection less than two weeks after unsecured creditors sought to force the airline into involuntary bankruptcy. As first reported by The Oregonian, the filing was made Tuesday and estimates total assets of the collective Evergreen companies at up to USD100million and total debts up to USD500million. Also seeking Chapter 7 protection were affiliates including Evergreen Aviation Ground Logistics Enterprise; Evergreen Defense & Security Services; Evergreen International Aviation; Evergreen Systems Logistics; Evergreen Trade and Supertanker Services.
