Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG, Dhaka) will not be sending their last remaining DC-10-30, S2-ACR (cn 48317), to Seattle to become a museum exhibit just yet with reports that the trijet will instead be ferried back to Dhaka in late February to await its fate.

According to the Dhaka Times, S2-ACR will complete a series of farewell flights over Birmingham, GB on February 22, 23 and 24, before heading back to Dhaka.

Biman had initially planned to ferry the aircraft to the Museum of Flight in Seattle thereafter but have been forced to postpone those plans after the museum warned it no longer had any space available.

"Unfortunately we had to cancel the plan to send it to the Seattle museum as we cannot fly the aircraft after May," Biman's MD and CEO Kevin Steel said. "Now we will get back the aircraft from Birmingham on February 28 and will decide later about fate of the workhorse here," he added.
