Air France (AF, Paris CDG) will deploy its A380-800 on flights from Paris CDG to Abidjan effective October 26 of this year. The twindeck aircraft will operate the route three times weekly alongside the B777-200(ER) and the B777-300(ER).
The move will mark the first scheduled A380 service into West Africa.
The Ivorian government has set aside funds to upgrade and improve Abidjan's airport in a bid to develop it into a regional and international hub.
