Small Planet Airlines (Vilnius) and its Polish subsidiary, Small Planet Airlines Polska (Warsaw Chopin), are to be consolidated into a single holding company, Small Planet Group UAB, CEO Vytautas Kaikaris has announced.

In a statement issued to ch-aviation, Kaikaris, who in March 2013 acquired Small Planet in conjunction with partner Andrius Staniulis, said the shareholding of the new holding firm would not change.

“The reorganisation is a step in our strategy to achieve a sustainable business model. We are evaluating some exciting opportunities as part of our development and the holding structure fits our future intentions,” Kaikaris said.

Under the set up of the new company, Small Planet Group UAB will own 100% of the shares in Small Planet Airlines UAB and 90% of the shares held in Small Planet Airlines Polska.

Small Planet Airlines UAB also holds a 25% stake in the business-class charter specialist, KlasJet (KLJ, Vilnius).

Using a fleet of A320-200s and B737-300s, Small Planet Airlines is a charter operator providing charter flights, full charter programs, as well as non-scheduled flights & ACMI services to carriers throughout the world.
