Jiu Yuan Airlines (Guangzhou) has signed a committal with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for fifty Boeing 737s, including Next-Generation 737s and 737 MAXs. The exact details of the order will only be known once Beijing gives the deal the go-ahead.
A subsidiary of Juneyao Airlines (Shanghai Hongqiao), the nascent LCC will offer budget domestic Chinese flights out of its Guangzhou hub. Jiu Yuan Airlines ("9 Yuan Airlines") is a joint venture between Juneyao Airlines (69%), Elion Resources Group (15%), Macrolink Group (10%) and Juneyao VP, Ji Guangping with 6%.
It had originally announced plans to operate Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) machinery.
