Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) has signed a purchase and lease-back agreement with CIT Aerospace for 24 aircraft including ten B737-900(ER)s and fourteen CRJ900s. To date, six 737-900(ER)s and six CRJ-900s have been delivered, with the remaining aircraft expected to be delivered during the course of the year.
While the B737-900(ER)s will be operated by Delta, the CRJ900s will be operated by Delta Connection carrier, Endeavor Air (9E, Minneapolis St. Paul International).
The ch-aviation aircraft database shows Delta currently operates twenty-one B737-900(ER)s on flights throughout the continental United States while Endeavor operates a fleet of seventy-seven CRJ-900s.
