Vincent Aviation (Australia) (Darwin) has ceased operations after the airline was placed into receivership on Wednesday May 28, 2014. In a press statement, the airline said all flights had been grounded while an assessment of the business's viability is made.

"It is highly unlikely there will be any flights resumed in the short to medium term," it said.

The carrier went on to note that the appointment of receivers would not affect the operations of its sister carrier, Vincent Aviation (New Zealand) (Wellington).

Operating a fleet of four Saab 340Bs, five Beech 1900Ds and a single BAe 146-200, Vincent Aviation had offered charter services as well as scheduled flights connecting Darwin, Groote Eylandt, Cairns, Narrabri and Sydney Kingsford Smith. Vincent had only been operating the Sydney Kingford Smith to Narrabri service since late February following the collapse of Brindabella Airlines (Canberra). According to AustralianAviation, both the Beechcraft (Wichita Beech Factory) and Saab (Sweden) (SCT, Linköping Saab) turboprops have been ferried to Townsville for storage while the BAe 146 has now returned to Wellington.
