Spring Airlines Japan (Tokyo Narita) has postponed its inaugural flight from June 27 to August 1 following delays in securing its flight operations approval from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLITT).

The Nikkei newswire says the Spring Airlines (9C, Shanghai Hongqiao) subsidiary had discovered flaws in its on-board contingency procedures during checks carried out in April.

Initial services are expected to cover Tokyo Narita to Saga, Hiroshima International and Takamatsu.
