BeOnTop Airlines (Liège) could be succeeded by a more viable entity when Liège Airport officially unveils plans for a new start-up carrier on June 24. During the event, the airport's managing director, Luc Partoune, will present the start-up's business plan to potential investors.

An ex-Virgin Express (Brussels National) senior manager will reportedly head the project for the airport.

BeOnTop was an unsuccessful project backed by ex-TNT Airways (Liège) employees who wanted to exploit their knowledge of the local market to launch a new airline based at the airport.

Liège airport is home to the hub of express operator TNT and also sees a wide range of other cargo operations. Its only scheduled passenger operators are Air Corsica (XK, Ajaccio), Jetairfly (Brussels National) and Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium (Brussels National) offering leisure oriented flights to the Mediterranean and North Africa.
