FlyNonstop (Kristiansand) was reportedly approached by Iron Maiden frontman, Bruce Dickinson, just prior to the airline's bankruptcy filing in late October of last year.

FlyNonstop's owner, Espen Hennig-Olsen, told the Norwegian media that Dickinson, who is also a founding shareholder in Welsh MRO provider Cardiff Aviation, had presented the carrier's management with a new business proposal which would have seen an E190 chartered from Denim Air ACMI (Amsterdam Schiphol) replaced with another, more cost effective, alternative.

Dickinson reportedly claimed he had access to other suitable aircraft that would have been a better fit in terms of size, traffic base and concept for FlyNonstop.

However, according to Hennig-Olsen, the proposal came too late resulting in the airline filing for bankruptcy on the morning of October 29, 2013.

The Norwegian virtual carrier had offered non-stop services from Kristiansand and Alesund to Barcelona El Prat, Berlin Schönefeld, Nice, Paris CDG, and Parma.
