Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad International) have resolved their differences concerning the latter's order for ten A380-800s. Quoting unnamed sources close the airline's operations, Reuters says the two entities have now put their differences in the past and have now resolved to move ahead.

The first A380 is scheduled to arrive at Doha Hamad International later this week.

The Qataris decided to delay the delivery of their first three A380s until October of this year when a pre-delivery inspection revealed deficiencies in the aircraft interior warranting a full redecoration of the affected parts - most notably the galley area. An irate CEO Akbar al Baker told the international press at the Farnborough International Airshow 2014 that Qatar Airways would also seek compensation from the Europeans for the delay.

Qatar Airways intends to deploy its A380s onto flights to London Heathrow and Paris CDG initially. Pending certification, the airline's first A350-900 is also due for delivery before year-end.
