Jasmin Airways (JAW, Enfidha) could commence operations as early as March 2015 airline president, Ali Ben Amara, has told the Destination Tunisie travel magazine. Having obtained its approval-in-principle to launch operations from the Tunisian Ministry of Transport late last year, Amara said the carrier would now source a pair of dry-leased A320-200s, and not B737NGs, for use on its planned charter operations.

Despite the economic downturn in Tunisia and Europe, the country's traditional main source of tourists, Amara remained optimistic about his carrier's chances insisting that Tunisia would always remain appealing to tourists given its cost-effectiveness as a holiday destination.
