Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (Zhukovsky) has confirmed plans to supply Indonesia with up to fifteen SSJ 100/95s over the next three years. The announcement follows Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov's official visit to Jakarta in August this year.

The Ministry in tandem with Sukhoi have set up shop in the Indonesian capital and are currently scouting for viable client airlines for which the SSJ 100 would be a good potential match.

In 2011, Russia agreed to supply twelve SSJ-100s to the now dormant Indonesian carrier Sky Aviation (SYA, Jakarta Halim). The contract was valued at USD380.4million. However, by 2013 with only three aircraft delivered, Sky Aviation began experiencing financial difficulties following which it suspended operations. Sukhoi has now announced it will take back the three aircraft delivered to Sky.

Russia has also announced plans to sell an unspecified number of SSJ 100s to Laos as well as to Vietnam Airlines (VN, Hanoi) and VietJetAir (VJ, Hanoi).
