Dynamic Airways (Greensboro Piedmont Triad International) is set to resume scheduled flights from New York JFK to Georgetown Cheddi Jagan on November 22. The flights, which were suspended in July, will operate 3x weekly on-board one of its four B767-200(ER)s.

"In past months our team has worked diligently on restarting air service to Guyana. With the help of authorities from both countries as well as our partners we were able to prepare the type of service we believe is long overdue in this market," Bill Gray, COO of Dynamic Airways, said.

The carrier has also dismissed as baseless, reports in the Guyanese press claiming both it and Guyanese travel firm, TravelSpan, are under investigation by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GyCAA) concerning the sale of tickets.

Reports had claimed the GyCAA would investigate both parties for selling tickets despite not having official authorization to operate the route.

In its response, Dynamic said the US Department of Transportation (DoT) had indeed given it the go-ahead when it granted the airline a scheduled interstate and foreign flight operator's licence earlier this month.
