Transair Hawaii (T4, Honolulu) has signed an agreement with fellow Hawaiian freight specialist, Pacific Air Cargo, to provide scheduled air cargo services throughout the islands of Hawaii, with onward connections to the United States mainland.

“Today’s agreement extends the already existing co-operation between our two companies and will provide a greater reach for both of us,” Pacific Air Cargo Founder and Chief Executive, Beti Ward, said. “Pacific Air Cargo currently operates six scheduled B747 freighter services using Kalitta Air (K4, Detroit Willow Run) between Los Angeles International and Honolulu every week, and today’s agreement will now allow us to add seamless daily connections to all the neighbour islands."

Pacific Air Cargo operated its own inter-island cargo delivery service from 2009 to 2011 but ended it citing low demand.

Transair is Hawaii’s longest running dedicated freight outfit. The airline operates a fleet of Shorts 360 and B737-200(F) aircraft to Lihue, Kahului, Kona, and Hilo with extended service to Lanai City and Kaunakakai. In addition, Transair offers cargo charters to all points within the State of Hawaii.
