Caicos Express Airways (9Q, Providenciales) launched its maiden scheduled international air service on Saturday, December 13, with 4x weekly flights from Providenciales to Cap Haitien in Haiti. Prior to this, Caicos Express had only operated foreign flights on a charter basis.

Using its newly acquired Beech 1900C, the route will compete with a daily service operated by local rival, interCaribbean Airways (JY, Providenciales).

As it stands, the carrier also uses Cessna (twin turboprop) 402s and Piper (twin turboprop) PA-23 Aztecs on domestic Turks & Caicos Islands services from Providenciales to Salt Cay and Grand Turk Island.
