Islands Development (IDC, Mahé) has added a maiden Do228 to its fleet of three aircraft which includes a Beech 1900D, a Cessna (twin turboprop) 404 Titan, and a Y12. Following its acquisition from Summerset Charters in South Africa, S7-MAC is undergoing certification by the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) ahead of its entry into service.

Founded in 1980, the IDC operates flights to the Seychelles archipelago's more remote islands of Alphonse Island, Desroches Island, Farquhar, Assumption Island, Coetivy, Marie-Louise, Platte, and Remire Island. It also operates a daily flight to the Desroches Island Resort and a weekly flight to Farquhar during the fly-fishing season which runs from October to May.
