UTair (UT, Khanty-Mansiysk) has launched Azur Air (ZF, Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo) as a new charter operation currently operating under the air operator certificate of subsidiary Katekavia (Sharypovo). Three B757-200s have already been transferred to Azur Air in the meantime: VP-BLV (msn 30043), VQ-BEZ (msn 29377) and VQ-BEY (msn 29382).

UTair is expected to transfer its other six B757-200s to Azur Air as well in the near future. The ailing Russian carrier continues its rapid capacity reduction with all B767-200(ER) and ATR42-300 aircraft already withdrawn from use. UTair has also parked the majority of its CRJ200 fleet and several B737-800s and A321-200s with deliveries of new B737NG and A321 aircraft from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) and Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) now coming to a halt.
