Royal Air Maroc (AT, Casablanca Mohamed V) is set to join Star Alliance with negotiations concerning the carrier's accession almost complete. Moroccan news portal, 360, says once negotiations have been finalized in the coming days, a firm agreement will be signed.

Royal Air Maroc will become Africa's fourth member of the alliance after EgyptAir (MS, Cairo International), Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International), and South African Airways (SA, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo), giving Star access to the untapped West and Central African markets via its Casablanca Mohamed V hub.
