flymojo (Johor Bahru) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau), covering the firm order purchase of twenty A220-100s with options for an additional twenty airframes of the same type.

Announced during the on-going Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), a firm order would be valued at approximately USD1.47 billion at current list prices though this could increase to USD2.94 billion, should flymojo exercise all its options.

flymojo intends to operate domestic Malaysian routes as well as flights to other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the regions bordering it.

“The announcement of a new airline in Malaysia is an exciting way to kick off LIMA. With flymojo’s primary hub at Johor Bahru and secondary hub in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the airline’s ultra-modern fleet of CS100 aircraft will play a key role in improving connectivity between the Peninsula and Sabah and Sarawak, as well as other parts of the region,” Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Transport, Aziz Kaprawi, said during the signing ceremony.

Should the order be finalized, flymojo will become the first customer and operator of the CS100 aircraft in the region.
