flybe. (2002) (Exeter) has agreed to take over British Airways subsidiary BA Connect (TH/Manchester). The transaction does not include BA Connect's Manchester-New York JFK route and its London City ARJ-100 operations. British Airways will take a 15% stake in Flybe. as part of the transaction. Flybe. has announced its intention to replace BA Connect's remaining fleet of 28 ERJ-145s, 7 Dash 8-300s and 4 BAe 146s by converting options for additional EMB-195s and Dash 8-400s into firm orders. It is expected to cut several of BA Connect's route and to announce detailed network plans later this year.
