KalStar Aviation (Berau) will shortly add a first ATR42-500 to its existing fleet of three ATR42-300s, two ATR72-500s, and two ATR72-600s.
The aircraft, formerly 8Q-VAR (cn 518) with FlyMe (Maldives) (Malé), is currently in Mönchengladbach undergoing pre-delivery maintenance checks and repainting.
Alongside its ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) fleet, Kalstar also operates one B737-300, two B737-500s, and two E195s on a network mainly focused on flights throughout and from/to Indonesia's province of Kalimantan.
